About a year ago, the talented Perigord chef Angel Morales opened the doors of his restaurant, the Capelo, located on Place Louis Magne, near the Périgueux Theater. This bistronomic stand out for its daring reinterpretation of traditional dishes, featuring duck in all its forms!

Love and duck

After having done his classes at Old House at Trémolat, Angel enriched his experience by working for a few years at centenary in Les Eyzies. His journey also took him to Australia, where he refined his skills in French pastry at “La Renaissance”.

Back in Dordogne, he decided to make his dream come true by opening his establishment. Capélo embodies something of a family story, imbued with a shared passion for cooking and duck farming.

Le duck takes center stage in its cuisine, reflecting its commitment to product quality. He favors short circuits, fresh ingredients and market finds. As for the menu, it evolves regularly, reserving its share of surprises! The Chef's menu changes every week, while the complete menu is renewed four times a year. The restaurant welcomes you both at lunchtime and in the evening, offering a unique bistronomic and Périgord experience, highlighting duck specialties in all its variations.
